

OUR DAY-CAMPS 2015
Jellico Station Day-camps are led by teaching professionals and high energy assistants, our camps are so much fun that your child won’t realize they’re learning. The children will have outdoor adventures and learn about the history and culture of all the topics. Choose from comprehensive and exciting day-camps including Science, Cooking, Arts, Writing, and Performing Arts. Children aged 5 to 11.

Bath bombs, crystals, lip balm and more, young girls (and boys) will enjoy using scientific secrets to build everyday products. Students will engage in hands-on projects that make science fun while teaching important lessons about chemistry. Girls will also explore the history of women in Science and the potential their future might hold.

A journey into the most beautiful backyard on the planet. Children will be fascinated as they explore our local ecosystems and are introduces to the delicate balance of a Temperate Rain Forest. Daily journeys outside will immerse young minds in the subject as they gain an even greater respect for their home.

OTP - On The Path is a class for the aspiring mountain bike enthusiast. Students will learn the basics of bike safety and how to navigate the great outdoors. Students will be outside all day breaking for Lunch and snack. Drivers will transport the children back up the hill to do it all over again! *Helmut and mountain bike required.

Lights and Circuits and Electricity.....oh my! Children will explore the world of robotics as they build their very own (age appropriate) robot. Diving into the history and current events surrounding robotics, ensuring that students leave ready to lead us into the 21st century! *please note there is an additional charge for the robot kits.

Children will be blown away (not literally) by how much fun an introduction to Chemistry can be. The camp will use exciting (age appropriate) experiments that will fascinate young scientists as they learn interesting real world applications and examples of chemical reactions in nature.

The Students will bring the stories in their imaginations to life as they learn how to develop story elements and the basics of script-writing. They work together as a production team to create an original stop animation film.

From the Carnival of Venice to the Gods of Mythology, masks are fascinating parts of cultures around the world. Children will learn about masks from different periods and peoples as they develop stories and masks of their own that reveal pieces of their imagination!

This is a fun-filled and exciting way of exploring the great outdoors. Riding a winding mountain trail through forests, up and over hills, across streams and make the most of our world class mountain trails, student will focus their attention on each maneuver they make! Each day the group will ride trails, use maps, and explore the area's trail system. * Helmut and mountain bike required - rentals available.

These full-day programs are a wonderful preparation for Kindergarten; they emphasize social skills and cooperative peer relationships through work and play. Your child will enjoy learning through a series of exciting activities: early math, pre-writing, creative play, nature walks, outdoor games, arts and crafts and daily outdoor physical activity time
